Our Twenty-Barrel Program
The Mercer Family is celebrating its 125th year of farming and ranching in the Horse Heaven Hills of Washington State. This is also our 40th year of growing grapes in the increasingly famous Horse Heaven Hills AVA. The Family motto of “Respect the Land” has served us well over the years and we are proud of the accomplishments we’ve made both on the farm and at the winery.
In celebration of our history and in order to help build the story of Mercer and Washington State Wines we are releasing a new line of Reserve “Twenty-Barrel” products that will serve as the Mercer Anthem. Wines produced and bottled under the Reserve “Twenty-Barrel” program represent the very best 20 barrels at the winery and production of these wines will never exceed 20 barrels. We currently have only two to ten barrels selected for the varietals in the 2009 vintage.
We will be producing four products under the Reserve “Twenty-Barrel” program. In barrel now are a Rhone Style blend (Ode to Brothers), Bordeaux Style Blend (Anthem), Cabernet Sauvignon and Zephyr Ridge Chardonnay.
