      The Washington State Wine team has paired up with Visit Seattle to participate in this year’s  Eat Drink SF  event in San Francisco!  Experience a bit of Washington in the Bay Area, and taste a selection of Mercer Estates wines!

      Mercer Estates will be pouring at the Grand Tasting from 7:30pm – 10:00pm

      The Event.

      Eat Drink SF is a food and wine event celebrating the unique flavor, diversity and bounty of Northern California. The Grand Tasting is at Fort Mason Center where chefs, winemakers, brewers and distillers will offer an exploration of taste. Classes, seminars, demos, dinners and parties will offer interactive opportunities for the public to participate with local farmers, ranchers, chefs, winemakers, distillers, media, authors, brewers, mixologists and culinary experts in an entertaining and delicious forum. 

      The Cause.

      Eat Drink SF supports a number of local Bay Area food-related charities, including the Center for Education About Sustainable Agriculture (CUESA), Meals on Wheels, Share Our Strength, SF-Marin Food Bank, Slow Food San Francisco’s NOMAD gardens project and the Golden Gate Restaurant Association Scholarship Foundation. For nearly fifty years, the Foundation has granted financial scholarships to students from the Bay Area entering culinary and hospitality programs. The applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Foundation Board of Trustees. Qualified candidates are then interviewed to complete the selection process. The Trustees base awards on the financial needs of the student. The goal of the scholarship program is to allow students to continue their education, and to select those motivated individuals who need the most financial assistance to enable them to pursue their education.

      Field to Fork 

      An afternoon made for true foodies and home cooks. Russ Parsons, The Times’ Food Editor and co-host, Nancy Silverton, co-owner of Osteria Mozza, Pizzeria Mozza and Chi Spacca, host an event inspired by fresh, local ingredients and the pleasure of cooking seasonal dishes.       At our annual ADOPT-A-VINE Event, club members “claim” a vine in our Pinot Gris vineyard, personalize it with a custom tag, then harvest the grapes to be included in the upcoming vintage of Mercer Estates Pinot Gris.  After taking advantage of your free labor, we’ll treat you to an intimate al fresco feast in the vineyard and quench your thirst with some of our favorite wine!
